The Avenue is a 652-bed, 315,000 square feet, off-campus, wood-and-steel framed, luxury student housing property with attached six-story parking deck located in Fayetteville, Arkansas just off the University of Arkansas’ flagship campus. SBG acted as general contractor of this project for Haven Campus Communities of Atlanta, Georgia. Construction consists of 180 resident units, a 453 space, a six-level precast parking structure, a 6,000 square foot clubhouse, state-of-the-art computer lab, fitness center with Fitness-On-Demand area, and swimming pool with outdoor kitchen amenity areas. The resident unit apartments are fitted with designer cabinets with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-unit laundries, and luxury laminate flooring, and smart technologies including Echo Dots, smart televisions, and Bluetooth activated access control. SBG was offered a time extension of over 120 days through weather and dirt related delays on this project, but was able to complete the entire project on time which allowed student move-ins to occur the fall semester of 2019, as originally scheduled.
