About the Role
The QC / QC project engineer is assigned to a project site and will report to the Director of Quality Management. They will provide quality review and assistance on the project site for multi-family, student housing, senior living, or mixed-use projects. Responsible to review plans and submittals/specifications and warranty related items as directed. Interface with and coordinate activities with the superintendent and assist as needed upon availability. Collaborate with the sub-contractors, 3rd party inspection personnel, AHJ/inspectors, etc. to evaluate and confirm the construction is proceeding per the contract documents.
Conduct site inspections of the project each day to verify construction activities are in conformance with the contract documents and help to troubleshoot and resolve issues. (Plans, specs, and contract agreements and ) Responsible for the daily input and recording of observations, inspections, and deficiencies to track to their completion and noted each day. Record daily QC project activities. Aware of safety on the project site(s). The QC project engineer will be aware of the activities on site and will proactively ensure safety guidelines are followed. Will assist the QC director and superintendent in preparing and conducting the required Pre-Construction/Activity meetings. (Agenda, submittals, shop drawings, plans, safety plan) other activities as assigned by the Project Team.
Pay & Benefits
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Paid time off
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stoop, twist, pull and reach as well as maneuver ladders and objects on construction sites.
At least 2 years construction experience building multifamily apartments or similar structures.
Ability to read and understand construction plans.
Minimum high school diploma.
Ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail.
Work in a team environment
Procore or similar construction software experience
