Student Housing

Our Student Housing team is dedicated to delivering on-time and in-budget construction for our development partners. Through our member's construction of several thousand student housing beds over the last 20 years, we have a deep understanding of what drives the success of schedule-restrictive projects for our development partners. We customize our construction schedule to fit clients’ needs, taking into account their requirements for early lease-up, marketability of products while under construction, and project cost.

EAST MAIN QUARTERS | Murfreesboro, TN

East Main Quarters is a 252 bed, high-end luxury Student Housing project located just off the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. This project was completed on January 26, 2016 built on a highly accelerated schedule and came to completion in less than eight months of construction time. Individual resident units consist of four individual suite areas that include kitchenettes, sitting areas, private full bathrooms, and a common living and kitchen areas. Resident units include true stainless steel appliances, designer cabinets with granite countertops, vinyl plank flooring, and mini-split cooling and heating units in each resident suite. This project includes a clubhouse with leasing and management offices and a state of the art fitness center. Almost one third of the project’s parking and drives are pervious pavers over underground stormwater retention.

THE TRADITION AT NORTHGATE | College Station, TX

The Tradition at Northgate is an 808 bed, off-campus, dormitory-style Student Housing property with attached six-story parking deck located in College Station’s Northgate area just off the Texas A&M Campus. SBG provided General Contracting services to perform this renovation for Haven Campus Communities of Atlanta, Georgia. Construction consisted of extensive demolition and addition of 427 resident unit kitchens, 427 resident unit laundries, addition of a 4,000 square foot clubhouse, state-of-the-art computer lab, renovation of existing fitness center and addition of a Fitness-on-Demand area, elevator re-fits, swimming  pool renovation, addition of a fountain and outdoor kitchens, and major landscaping renovations. SBG also self-performed the extensive electrical distribution renovations for this project.

THE AVENUE | Fayetteville, AR

The Avenue is a 652-bed, 315,000 square feet, off-campus, wood-and-steel framed, luxury student housing property with attached six-story parking deck located in Fayetteville, Arkansas just off the University of Arkansas’ flagship campus. SBG acts as general contractor of this project for Haven Campus Communities of Atlanta, Georgia. Construction consists of 180 resident units, a 453 space, six-story, precast parking structure, a 6,000 square foot clubhouse, state-of-the-art computer lab, fitness center with Fitness On Demand area, and swimming pool with outdoor kitchen amenity areas. The resident unit apartments are fitted with designer cabinets with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-unit laundries, and luxury laminate flooring. 

CONNECT BOONE| Boone, NC

Connect Boone is a 174 Unit and 562 bed Student Housing apartment complex located on 7.89 acres in Boone, NC.  A mix of 1, 2, and 4-bedroom units, a clubhouse, mini storage commercial space & associated amenities. Construction is 4-story wood frame over 75,000 cast-in-place podium.  Building configuration will be multiple units per floor for a total of (1) continuous apartment building, and an amenity center (clubhouse). Amenities at Connect Boone will include elevated deck with hot tub, mountain climber, fitness center, style lounges, and computer lab.

HAVEN 17| Tallahassee, FL
